( r6 ) talking-head: akechi goro.

Akechi is invited to take a seat right in front of the cameras, while the overseer smiles at them brightly and waves.
And asks them questions, of course.
They don't have to answer truthfully, but they should be aware that every single last thing they're saying might very well end up in the final cut.
Have fun!

He takes that hand to shake, shaking it firmly, beaming.]
That isn't embarrassing at all! What an earnest answer--I truly hope you find the friendships you are looking for here!
[Sparkle sparkle sparkle.]
And I am certain your detective skills will be a huge boon here. Do you think you'll be just as skilled at predicting others' emotions as their motives?

People are just like puzzles. Very complicated ones but at the end of the day they can be predictable. This sort of work would require me to not just assume how my fellow contestants might feel but the show runners think and how they might have pieced everyone together. Is it random? Is it based on compatibility? Tropes? Opposites attract? So many variables.
[He adjusts his gloves before returning his hands into his lap.]
Needless to say... I cannot wait to meet my fellow contestants and future friends!

I see!
[Enthusiastically:]
I'm sure you'll make many excellent friends during your time here--but, of course, the true prize is [a wish] true love! [oh]
It sounds like you will be very good at predicting the other's matches, but do you think you'll fare the same with your own?

That's true! I can admit to being a little skeptical that of all the people in the world my perfect match to end all matches is going to be here but I imagine stranger things have happened, no? And it happens all the time on this little show, or so I am lead to believe.
I'd be curious to look at previous data in regards to functioning relationships that are ongoing after the show. Unless that's considered cheating? [He chuckles and waves his hand.] I wouldn't want to get an unfair edge, of course. Best to play it fair and square.
As far as finding my own match... Well, I am confident in my ability to find who it is that the show runners think I would be best with. If there's anything more to it than that well... Needless to say I am looking forward to seeing the results. I won't dare to be too hopeful but consider me... Optimistically curious.

Tsukasa, of course, is completely taken in by this affable act of his.]
True, it would be miraculous--but that is what makes the risks so worth taking! I believe this crew of contestants can certainly make miracles happen! [*
*he has not met all of them yet.]
Still, optimistically curious is all we can ask of you. I'd say you've made an excellent first impression, but given this is the first time the audience gets to truly get to know you... is there anything else you would like to say to them?

Why thank you. As for the audience. Well!
[He looks directly into the camera, tightening the tie on his school uniform.]
I am not unused to having cameras on me. Or the attention of fans. I would never presume my own popularity but I think, having experienced limelight before, I would just ask the people at home not to be too hard on me on the forums or the internet in general. Haha~ I think that's the hardest part that's always out of my control. But it is what it is.
Thank you for your time, Tsukasa-san. And the opportunity.

He stands at that, the interview clearly having been drawn to a tidy close (not by him, not that he's noticed this yet).]
Of course. Thank you for your time, Akechi!
[He offers Akechi his hand for another handshake, nodding towards the door.]
I am sure we'll be talking again very soon. For now, it is time for you to meet your fellow contestants. Good luck! I will be eagerly awaiting your success!
