WELCOME TO THE HONEYMOON SUITE!!! i cannot BELIEVE i had to toss this up real quick



You're led to a beautiful skyrise apartment, and the penthouse suite is, you guessed it: all for you!

The view's stunning, the beds are huge and comfy, you finally have your own private bathroom, and there's a cook on call who will make anything you want to eat. There are games, TV, and if you're bored or missing an activity, it's probably somewhere in the sprawling apartment.

Basically, you're living the life of luxury now, so enjoy it!

You can always head down the elevator, and a personal chauffeur will take you back to the house so you can mingle with everyone else and still enjoy the shenanigans. But you can always come back here to chill, bond and relax, all alone.

[It's not too far from the truth. Lately, Thing was running around performing tasks at Wednesday's behest, so he really is kind of an errand guy. Thing.]

The weirdest part...

[How does she answer that? There are aspects that she considers just daily life in the Addams household that most would think weird. Not only weird, but off-putting.]

I'm not sure I can pick out only one. Every member of my family is odd in their own way. But we love all things dangerous and always come away unscathed from the activities we set upon each other.

[Torture. Poisoning. Threats of bodily harm. All lovingly done, and no Addams actually ever, like. Dies from it. They have narrative immunity, when it's from each other.]

Though perhaps that's more of a "superpower" than an oddity. [Wry.]

[ That makes him laugh, shifting to sit up and be level with her again. He leans back on his palms then, smiling at her as he imagines what she's just described and shakes his head. ]

Hell, that's one cool superpower even so. I'm guessin' that's some of the experiments you mentioned doin' on your brother, huh?

[ How lethal are these experiments, he has to wonder... ]

Your family sounds... really cool. S'just me and my mom back home which is fine, we're pretty happy, but it must be nice to have such a lively family.

[ A pause and he's thinking for a moment before — ]

I think you'd really get along with the other thieves. My friends. They're all kinda weird too but we're all kinda, hmm, misfits in a way. You don't do what we do without that and I don't think you'd do what you do if you weren't a misfit too. It's a badge of honor, right?

[ohwoe]

That's right. For example, when I was much younger, I tried to recreate Frankenstein's experiment on him, though it left him more singed than a walking, talking undead.

[That's because he wasn't dead to begin with, Wednesday.

She tilts her head slightly, though, listening to Ryuji speak of his own family. His mom, with whom he seems close with. (Imagine being close with your mother!!) And his friends, his fellow thieves, which she must admit, she's quite curious about.]

Misfits? Then we'd all share something in common. [She is literally an Outcast, after all.] You're right, it's not something to be ashamed of. It's a title that we should all wear proudly — especially when used properly, much like you and your friends do.

I... hope I can meet them, someday.

[ He is trying to imagine what exactly performing Frankenstein's experiment would look like but the thought of her brother just looking vaguely singed is kind of funny and gets Ryuji to grin.

But really, their families seem wildly different but he can see... cohesion there. He'd like to meet Wednesday's family one day, and introduce Wednesday to his mom, he thinks she'd like her. It makes him think a little of the future, which is maybe too soon to think about but definitely has him curious about what a long term relationship would look like with Wednesday.

Especially when she says that last bit, of wanting to meet the Thieves. Of feeling kinship over both being misfits. His expression is warm in response. ]

I hope so too. I dunno how this game will shake out but I want... to show you my life a bit and to see yours. However we can make that happen.
