Minami is invited to take a seat right in front of the cameras, while the overseer smiles at them brightly and waves.

And asks them questions, of course.

They don't have to answer truthfully, but they should be aware that every single last thing they're saying might very well end up in the final cut.

Hehe, want me to hold your hand? [ offers his hand! minami's not stupid but he is greedy and he always likes holding tsukasa's hand. ]

Ooh or I could put you to sleep if you really want, but I think I'd have to use a lot with how fast your heart's going.

[ but despite all these very Minami-isms, the one thing he doesn't say or expect is any sort of an answer. the faces he's given minami today are more than enough food for him. ]

He frowns a little more at that, but it isn't an upset frown--he's just thinking very hard. And then, with a great deal more deliberateness than before, he reaches out to take Minami's hand.

That said, though:]

No, I have too much to do to sleep, regardless. [also, that would be weird - boy who does not realize that his good night's sleep before was thanks to a certain someone.]

... Ah, we haven't even started your interview... [whoops....... this got SO derailed.]

'Kay. [ entwining their fingers as he usually does, casually ignoring how it feels a little different now(?). but he's a glutton for punishment and vices and no one's going to stop him not even himself. at least not when he's genuinely enjoying something.

the no sleeping now is fine, minami isn't really partial to it anyway. he really would have to use too much magic for his taste to get tsukasa to sleep now and he's also ignoring why that seems to have been so natural a consideration for him. ]

We can do it now as long as I get to keep holding your hand! And as long as I get to visit you again sometime privately.

[ he's vaguely aware the cameras exist again, perhaps. ]

[ he laughs, genuinely pleased and still not stopping to try to examine what this means. he asked for something, he got it, all is good!!!! ]

I learned what I wanted to know! And I was able to cross a lot of people off my list on who I'm probably paired with.

Anna, Dorothea, Akechi, Josuke, Lessing, Mark, Sanji, and Steve! They're all of scared me, hate me, or something like that.

[Minami...... that's a lot of people who hate and/or are scared of you.]

Yeah. Why wouldn't I be? [ the confusion in his blink is very real. ]

I'm a demon! Plus it's not like I'm interested in 'em either. Same goes for Will but I still think that one probably makes sense.

Well... romance aside, it must be a little lonely to know that many people are afraid of you.

[ minami just shrugs, swinging their hands a little. it is in some way, but it's not like he's completely alone here to even consider his various crimes? ]

Mmn... cuz in general he's nice to everyone so he won't run away from me. But he's a lot less impartial than he thinks he is. When he came to talk to me he started talking bout Anna and wouldn't stop. Anna this, Anna that, he shouldn't have even bothered.

[ ick. ]

But I think that makes sense for my match because they probably want someone who will "fix me" and all of that crap.

[aspirings]

his answer is laughter, bright and warm. that's another one for the now loading pile. ]

Make me less demonic? Make me a "good boy" who looks out for others instead of myself. [ funnily, tsukasa knows this one isn't exactly true. ] Make me wanna revoke my ways and think about others before I do something.

All that kinda stuff that I hate. I'm me! I don't want to be anyone else, I'd rather die.

[aspirings]

[Yeah he's just blinking at that, a faint furrow to his brow.]

Well, you can't be less demonic, given you're a demon.

And you look out for others when you want to.

Hmm... if that's what the show is intending for you, it's definitely missed the mark...

[ huh???? he does not! says demon who is being selectively blind about a few things he's done with said company recently. anyway he does not know what to do with that, so after a look of confusion he just moves past it. ]

I think it's pretty likely. It's a "good" narrative that makes everyone feel good 'cept for the evil demon involved~.

[ he's really not a fan of it tbh which is why he hasn't bothered to talk about his actual reasoning with anyone else. will is headstrong and wants to be king: someone who thinks they know better than everyone else. it all fits really quite neatly for him. ]

[aspirings]

[Hmmmmm. Tsukasa hums, and he'd cross his arms here in thought except one hand is still holding Minami's, so he can't without looking stupid.

It's fine.]

... Did you expect this when you signed on?

Yeah, basically. But it still got me out of Hell.

[ and more than that, potentially gave him more chances to find that soul he needs. that comes to mind now, but he's-

[Tsukasa's nodding along, thoughtful. Right, so. That all makes sense, and he's satisfied now--]

Mm, good! I understand you better now, which means the audience probably will as well!

[Presuming Minami doesn't get an absolutely horrible edit...]

Do you? Don't tell anyone. That's playing right now. [ he doesn't care about the cameras or his edit. ]

I don't wanna hear their excuses or rationalizations.

[ he doesn't want their pity and he doesn't think they'll understand but quite frankly he doesn't want them to. ]

[aspirings]

... Minami...

[Well. It's not like he can go against Minami's wishes, especially for things that happen in here, which is already a confidential space...

[ it's not even that he dislikes them as a group but that it bridges too close to an actual weakness he has. even telling tsukasa was a high hurdle for him. ]
