And asks them questions, of course.

They don't have to answer truthfully, but they should be aware that every single last thing they're saying might very well end up in the final cut.

[Tsukasa looks far too pleased and smug to be fulfilling this role. He's practically sparkling. The theater kid energy is off the charts.]

Welcome to the cast! I hope you are feeling ready to ~*find love*~! [He gestures widely with his arms to show ~*love~*]

But first, I must ask you a question! [AHEM AHEM.]

"What do you hope to accomplish while you are on this show?"

[ find love... minami sits down, looking around and doing his best to sit still even though he's clearly nervous. he steeples his fingers together, managing to look 0% thoughtful at all, given how he can't keep still. ]

Heyyy that's no fair, you took my answer! W-wait does that mean there's people here for other reasons? Am I gonna be the only one who wants to find someone who's the right fit for me? [ his brows furrow and loops droop, a perfect representation of 🥺. ]

Week 1, Wednesday morning

[ it's morning but not too early that minami goes to find production to demand to see tsukasa. he's in a pretty good mod today, momentary annoyances forgotten for the time being. ]

Tsukasa-kun, I'm hereeee! Are you ready for me? [ he's gonna try to force his way in regardless but. ]

[aspirings]

[Tsukasa double checked with production earlier if this was even okay, given it wasn't really an interview... and they were basically just pleased at the footage they've gotten thus far, so.

Shrugs! Here he is, in the same room where the interview was before, a reasonably private place.]

Ah, Minami, come in! Thank you again for offering to do this.

[He didn't have to, so...! It's nice. He'll get to experience something new and also learn something new about Minami. Isn't that so nice of him!]

It's my pleasure, hehe. [ i have no idea what the seating arrangements are like but he's going to attempt to sit next to tsukasa either way. ]

week one

after match ceremony + meeting

[ who knew that asking for what you want grants it? minami did! no he did not. like yeah, he really doesn't care if the cameras film him it's not like he's shy but.

hmmm.

he has no idea how to describe the little nagging feeling on his skin. so he's not thinking about it!

like before, minami starts by getting all up in tsukasa's face though he doesn't take his hands this time. he's looking deep into his eyes, his own bright red. ]

Tsukasa-chan, have you been getting enough sleep? [ he Knows the answer to this already, but maybe it says something that he asks first. ]

[aspirings]

[Yeah, Tsukasa is happy to do what he can to make things more comfortable for the contestants! A request for a private meeting is fine. He can do that! Minami is a demon but it's probably not to kill him like he thinks maybe some of the other contestants want to do.

... ... ... Okay, no, Tenma, don't think about that right now!!

He's not seated when Minami enters the room, and only jumps a little when he turns to see Minami there, bright red eyes fixed on his own.

Is this what Minami wanted a meeting to talk about...?]

... Well-- [He's been tired, for sure, because there's so much to process all the time with this job, but...!!]

--I've had a lot on my mind, I guess... ah, but no need to worry! I won't let it interfere with my ability to perform my role on this show.

[It's interview time, which means the cameras are back on! Tsukasa does look better than he did the night before; some proper rest did wonders for him.

He is, of course, seated in the interviewer's chair, but he brightens immediately as soon as Minami is shown his way in.]

Ah, Minami! Very good!

I owe you a show. Would now be an acceptable time? [Pre-interview, I guess, help.]

Hehe, did you miss me? [ tsukasa doesn't need to answer that.

minami hops into the chair, still riding the high off of no longer needing to act like a soggy napkin. and maybe last night. ]

Oooh, I get to see it now? I'm ready, I'm ready! ★

week 2 Thursday night

[ so this week's been a lot, but soon both of them are gonna be busy and minami is feeling very- well the kiss he took on spin the bottle will speak enough for that when I write it and then there were the whole boring meetings he had to sit through too. they both deserve a reward so it's time to fulfill that date they agreed to.

despite the fact that they've already been on a date this week but this is different and actually private. and maybe minami doesn't deserve anything but it's fine.

Anyway, he's here and as soon as tsukasa opens the door he's going to jump at him, wrapping his arms around the other boy's middle. ]

Tsukasa-chan ★!

[Well. He shouldn't be surprised by the enthusiasm at this point, but he does stagger back a little when Minami launches himself at him and latches on. Thankfully, he's got pretty good balance, so he catches himself quickly.

And just... kind of pats the top of Minami's head. What else does one do in a situation like this...? It's what he'd do for Saki, so...!]

Ah, yes--thank you for doing your best at the discussion tonight! [LOOK AT MINAMI TRYING... HE'S PROUD.]

[ a headpat??? he's not self-conscious about his height but wow. also careful not to poke yourself on his ornamental headpiece. there's a glower on his face that settles once he hears his name, since that always uplifts his mood. ]

If you're proud of me, gimme a prize. [ though he has something in mind obviously. he'll close the door and then take tsukasa's hand to lead them over to the couch. ]

week two.

[You know what sounds nice?

Some quiet sounds nice. And Tsukasa has recently learned that all of the requests he's put in on behalf of the contestants have been fulfilled!

... Which includes his piano request. Of course, they couldn't bring him a grand piano or anything, but a keyboard works well enough.

He doesn't want to interrupt Minami participating (????) with the conversations happening in light of the match ceremony, but! He will let him know to join him in the interview after that's all wrapped up. After, Minami!!!!

He is, in fact, already playing when Minami steps in--just a few songs for himself, working off the rust and also because it is honestly very soothing for him to do.

[Interview time!! Tsukasa is back! He's trying to be professional, even huffing out a faint laugh as he pulls out a different cue card for Minami's interview.]

I told myself that there would be at least a little bit of footage of you doing an interview with your actual personality, Minami. And I did promise to come up with questions specifically for you.

So shall we start there?

week 3 monday bc rolls forward relentlessly

[ hmmm. the vibe is rancid and while minami is feasting, the one part of his brain is itchy. he decides to track down tsukasa when he knows he should be free, and he's not letting cameras in for this one.

did you know he could he can control people who lack strong willpower? it's a power he hasn't bothered to exercise until today, but it's really no question versus some random interns. ]

Tsukasa-chan~. [ how's he doing-- ]

[The vibe is rancid, and while it's not quite so rancid in here, the vibes are still not good. They're not sparkly like Tsukasa is, and he is... flopped facedown on the couch, one arm dangling off the side.

Those interviews took the hell outta him this week, that's for sure. It even takes him a moment to lift his head when Minami slides on in, and he just tilts his head vaguely. He should be concerned that he just strolled on in here, but. It's also Minami so he thinks that's just kind of how it goes.]

Ah... Minami. Sorry. Just a moment. [He needs to will sparkles and existence back into his vibes real quick.]

week 2 Thursday night

[ in a twist of how they usually meet, tsukasa will find minami in the interview room when he gets there (likely having received a message from a harried intern). he's on the couch on his stomach, kicking his feet with his eyes closed. ]

[aspirings]

[This poor intern.

This poor house full of unfortunate teens. The vibes are once again terrible, and Tsukasa hurries into the interview room expecting Something or Other from that harried message and--

Then just blinks.]

Oh. [okay it's just Minami, whew.] You really need to stop breaking into this room, you know.

[Tsukasa meanders closer anyway, despite his words, of course.]

week three.

She's got parfaits prepared, though. ]

Hello, Minami-san. Since you'll have other opportunities to spend time with Tsukasa, I'll be conducting your interview this week.
